Wahkeena – Multnomah Loop

You may have seen these waterfalls on every social media platform before and that’s because they are truly breathtaking! This hiking trail loop near Portland is very accessible for all visitors! It is 4.9 miles long but mostly paved the whole way through. On this trail you will get to see SIX main waterfalls as well as other little ones along the way. Abiqua Falls

The hike to see Abiqua Falls is a difficult one but worth it! It is 5.3 miles there and back. The trail is not very well marked so take your time to look out and stay on the path. After you’ve parked in the lot, follow the dirt road until you reach the forest. You’ll keep walking down the path which comes to a creek. You will then follow it upstream until you get to the falls. They have a rope placed at the steeper parts to help you along the way. Be prepared to climb over a few boulders and logs. After you conquer all of those obstacles, you will come across the amazing 92-foot-tall waterfall! This is a sight you won’t forget!

Latourell Falls

These two falls are also located in the Columbia River Gorge of Oregon and are quick and easy to get to! This trail is 0.8 miles there and back. You will come across Horsetail Falls first which towers at 176 feet. You will then climb up a few switchbacks to reach Ponytail Falls which is 125 feet tall.

National Creek Falls

Last but not least, you have to be sure to check out National Creek Falls Trail! This is an easy 0.7 out-and-back trail in Prospect, Oregon. It’s great for camping, fishing, and hiking which makes it pretty popular. Be sure to bring your pup but keep them on a leash!
